i came here to tell you what a funny macro this was. but then I spent like 10 minutes staring at Reid in what is clearly a pimp vest, I mean there is even a silver chain just coming out of it... it's probably got a watch on it...and now all I can think of is pimp!Reid...so thank you for this, thank you very much.
Reid started wearing a pocket watch in season 4. Who knows why. I'm still waiting to find out why he switched his service weapon to a revolver from the automatic he carried in seasons 1-3.
I think Matt Gubler likes the pocketwatches. He wears one at premiers and public appearances. I don't know if he has sensitive skin, but maybe the wristwatch bugged his wrist. Or he might've just liked the look. From what I heard (not confirmed), Matt picked the revolver because he liked the look and thought Reid would like it. He goes for a more old-fashioned look. I do like the vest and chain look.

with that vest, pocket watch and wooden-paneled gun, reid looks like a modern day cowboy. all that's missing is the stetson.
